Enchanted Woods
We are going to the Treehouse's Enchanted Woods next Friday (10th) at 6:00pm. We would love anyone to join us all you need to do is call the Treehouse and get your tickets. The tickets are $4.00 for members and $5.00 for non-members. Parents do not need a ticket. Our kids will be dressing in their Halloween costumes but you do not have to dress up. This is a really fun thing the treehouse puts on every October its kind of like trick-or-treating. The kids get to move around in a group throughout Treehouse and listen to stories from different characters they give out little treats (candy, crayons, books, etc.) at each of the stops. We have gone every year and its always a blast. I hope to see you there! YOU NEED TO GET YOUR TICKETS AS SOON AS POSSIBLE! THEY SELL OUT EVERY YEAR!

Good deals
Albertsons has a few good deals this week. Powerade is only .69 cents. Pork chops and chicken were on sale for 1/2 off. Del Monte canned peaches (chunks with calcium added) were 4 for $5 and if you spend $20.00 you get five dollars off. I also got a 5% off coupon for next time (or anytime before December I think) for my whole shopping order.

Coupons
So I have tried to use the coupons from the sunday paper before and have never gotten really good at it or have given up after awhile, but I want to try and get really into it. My sister-in-law has been doing it and she saves a TON of money. I followed her advice the other day and when I went to the store I got...
-8 bags of malt-o-meals cereal
-20 cans of soup
-1 bottle of apple juice
-2 bottles V8 splash
-5 cans of green beans
-1 package toilet paper (12 giant rolls)
I got all that for like $25 and saved $45. So anyone who is interested in trying to get into coupons or does use them and wants to share tips, let me know. I figure we could try and help each other figure it out and update each other with good deals :)

Running
I try to run every night around 7:45 or 8:00. I usually run for 30 min just around the neighborhood. Its really good because the streets are not busy and there are hills and flat parts and you don't get too board. send me a text or call me if you want to go one night. you can totally bring kids if you want to ... I try to run without them just because its easier..... I would suggest bringing an ipod .. I won't be able to talk while I run I'm not in that good of shape.

I need the exercise!
I would love to be in an exercise group, but I would have to wait until spring, if it's outdoors! So, if you guys get a group together I would love to join after the baby is here!

Anyone feeling fat?
I would love to get an exercise group together! We could go walking with kids, running, stair climbing (stadium bleachers work well), or whatever. I would just like to get outside while the weather is still good and I don't want to go by myself. Let me know if and when you are interested.

We got a season pass to the Zoo this year and Landon loves to go. So if anyone wants to go, just let me know :) and we can plan a group trip!
Homemade Ice Cream in a Bag
I found this fun Homemade Ice Cream recipe at FamilyFun.com. We made it with the girls up at girls camp and it was a big hit! One side note though, when mixing the ice cream you may want to wrap the bag in a towel; the girls' poor hands were pretty cold after this activity!
Ingredients:
* 2 tablespoons sugar
* 1 cup half and half
* 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
* 1/2 cup salt (The bigger the granules, the better. Kosher or rock salt works best, but table salt is fine)
* Ice cubes (enough to fill each gallon-size bag about half full)
* 1 pint-size ziplock bag
* 1 gallon-size ziplock bag
Directions:
1. Combine the sugar, half and half, and vanilla extract in the pint-size bag and seal it tightly.
2. Place the salt and ice in the gallon-size bag, then place the sealed smaller bag inside as well. Seal the larger bag. Now shake the bags until the mixture hardens (about 5 minutes). Feel the small bag to determine when it's done (it should be the consistency of frozen yogurt).
3. Take the smaller bag out of the larger one, add mix-ins, and eat the ice cream right out of the bag. Easy cleanup too! Serves 1
